Please include a cover letter, author bio, and 10-page excerpt.

Submissions by regular mail will not be read.

Before submitting, take the time to explore our website and read our catalogue to make sure that your work is a good fit for Tightrope Books. We do not publish children’s books, self-help books, religious books, or genre fiction (fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, crime, thriller). If you want to impress us, tell us how your book is similar to at least two Tightrope titles.

ABSOLUTELY NO SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

Please be patient. It can take us as long as 6 month or up  to a year to evaluate a manuscript.

Artwork Submissions:

Tightrope Books encourages artists to submit work for possible consideration for our covers. We may also commission work for projects based on submissions. Please remember that we only do a limited number of books annually, so spaces are limited. However, we will keep samples of work on file for future seasons. Canadian citizens or permanent residents only.
