Publisher Halli Villegas is also a published writer. In addition to writing she has had four years experience with another independent press as assistant editor. She envisions a writer centric press with an emphasis on new ideas and quality over quantity. Each book will be designed and marketed to best serve the writer's interests as well as making it memorable. She would like to bring together the arts communities in Canada through Tightrope Books by using local artists for covers and marketing materials, as well as having launches and readings that double as art showings and/or musical venues.
